Dino’s Night

“You’re shittin’ me.”

“Nope.”

“Ya gotta be shittin’ me.”

“No, I’m not.”

“Dino, no fucking way.  Come on now, ‘fess up.”

“Lay off or you’re not invited.”

Terence Thorne raised his hands in mock surrender.  His mate, his compadre, his fucking brother, well, except for the minor detail of them not being related by blood in any way, was trying to tell him something that just could not be true.

“You, my friend, are not expecting me to believe that you’re gonna ask this sheila to marry you.”

“Terry, I swear, if you don’t give it up, you’re not only uninvited to the wedding, but you’ll find yourself home alone on the night of the bachelor party.”

Terry shook his head.  Dino, settling down, what was the world coming to?  And after such a whirlwind romance.  This was something Terry had always suspected of his friend, but never thought would be realized.

Dino, for his part, was happier than he’d ever thought possible.  Tina was an incredible woman, tough as nails, but soft and tender when it counted.  He loved her auburn hair that fell almost to her waist when she didn’t have it up in a long pony tail, as was typical.  He loved her high cheekbones and dancing blue eyes, that crinkled at the corners when she laughed, which was often.  He loved her mouth, beautiful full lips that even without makeup were a tantalizing red he liked to lose himself in for hours at a time.  But most of all he found, to his surprise, he loved her.

Terry and Dino had been true to their quest after Tecala, forming their own firm and leaving Luthan Risk with a party that lasted for days.  They had started out at Terry’s apartment and ended up in the drunk tank.  Tina was the arresting officer.  Terry was mortified.  Dino was in love.  When he had tried to resist arrest, Tina had taken him down so swiftly, he could not remember what had happened.  All he knew was that Tina had her nightstick in a very uncomfortable position around Dino’s neck.  Even drunk, Dino was always able to get out of any scrap.  Tina changed all that.

They began dating as soon as Dino sobered up.  Terry laughed whenever he saw the puppy-dog smile Dino had wandered around with in their new offices for the weeks following their final night of celebration.  All Dino knew was that he’d never been this happy in his life.

“Mate,” Terry had finally said one night, “you’re gone, you know that, right?”

“And lovin’ every minute of it, pal.  You should try it sometime.  It’d be good for you.  Get ya over bony britches.”

Terry had mixed feelings about his fatalistic faux pas in Tecala.  He had realized soon after returning to London that it wasn’t Alice Bowman he wanted, but that feeling of belonging to someone.  He never figured Dino would find it before him.

“So when are ya doin’ the deed, Dino?”

“Poppin’ the question tonight, bro.  Hearts and flowers the whole way.  Wine, dinner, dancing and one huge fucker of a rock.  Check it out.”  Dino pulled out a velvet box from his jacket pocket and Terry whistled appreciatively when Dino displayed it for him.  A two carat, flawless F-1 diamond surrounded by small sapphires, Tina’s birthstone.

Terry sighed, at once happy for and jealous of his close friend.  “She’s a lucky girl, mate,” he said.  And he meant it.

“Yeah.  And she’s gonna get luckier as soon as I get her home tonight.”

“You’re a fucking disgusting bastard, always ruin a moment, y’know?”

The two men laughed together and finishing their pints, parted company.  Terry to his apartment and another night of surfing the satellite dish channels for rugby and Dino to his night of romance.

Best laid plans of mice and K&R boys.

When Dino got back to his apartment, he found Tina reading a book on his sofa.  Now that wasn’t enough to change his plans.  That Tina was reading an erotic novel in the nude, was.

“Ah, my red-headed Leprechaun has finally returned.”  Tina stretched, opening her legs casually.  “At last, my need can be taken care of by something other than a girl’s best friend.”

“Uh, Tina, I was hopin’ we could go out tonight,” Dino said hesitantly.

“Sure, lover, right after you take care of me.”  She looked at him meaningfully.

Dino was too smitten to deny her anything.  Especially something that benefited him as much as her.  But tonight was important.  He really wanted to do this right and knew that Tina would appreciate it.  However, when she trailed her hand across her belly, and slid a finger into her darker auburn curls, he was done for.

“Oh, fuck, baby,” Dino groaned and pulled his jacket off and threw it towards a chair, missing it completely.  His shirt and trousers soon followed along with shoes, socks and briefs.  With Tina, he didn’t waste any time with seduction.  Foreplay was much more fun when they were both naked.  His cock was already standing at attention and Tina smiled lasciviously as she reached for him.

“Me want that bad boy appendage,” she grinned and wrapped her hand around his cock.  Dino dropped his head back as soon as she touched him, wanting more.

He knelt down in front of her and spread her legs.  “God, baby, what’re you doin’ to me?” he groaned.  Tina had kept hold of him as he’d moved and was now gently rubbing the skin of his shaft over the velvety tip, already beginning to leak precum in Dino’s anticipation of having her.

“I’m makin’ you happy, Dino.”

“You do, honey, you really do.”

Tina let go of him and pulled him into her arms.  Dino surrendered completely, one part of his mind trying to reorganize the evening he’d planned around this sudden diversion, the rest trying to stay coherent enough in the face of the beautiful woman in his embrace to take care of her obvious need.

Dino pulled her to the floor, kissing those wine-coloured lips he liked to drown himself in.  He kissed down her neck, sucking gently at the crook, knowing she loved it, wanting that moan she gave whenever he did, receiving it with a grin and a giggle.

He was losing himself in her thick auburn mass, down now because Tina knew how much he loved to hold it while loving her.  Dino pushed her legs open with his and was about to enter her when she stopped writhing under him, getting his attention.

“What is it, baby?” he asked.

“Dino, what’s that?” she asked softly.

He followed her gaze to his jacket, on the floor across from them.  Oh fuck, he thought dismally.

The black velvet box was lying next to his jacket.

She wriggled out from under him and reached for it.  Dino wasn’t quick enough for probably the only time in his life.  Well, next to the time she had gotten him in that choke-hold.

Tina sat up and opened the box.  Her eyes went wide as she looked at him.

Dino was determined that at least one part of this night was going to go how he had planned, so he got on one knee and pulled one of her hands into his grasp.

“Uh, look, this wasn’t how I had planned it, but, well, uh…”

Tina grinned at him, her eyes sparkling with tears.  But she kept silent.  Minx that she was, she was going to make him say it.

“Okay, so, here it is,” he took a deep breath, heart suddenly beating a mile a minute.  He thought maybe facing that squad of mercenaries in Turkey had been less terrifying than how he felt at the moment.  But he plunged ahead.  “I love you, Tina.  I’ve never felt about anyone the way I feel about you.  I want to be with you, you know, in that forever kinda way, so would you, uh, marry me?”

There was that nano-second lifetime while he waited for her reaction.

She pulled him to her and said softly, “Yeah, ya old smoothie.  I’ll marry you.”

Dino laughed.  Tina joined him.  The crystal sprinkling of her laugh always made his cock react, so she was on her back in no time at all, her mad-capped Leprechaun thrusting into her heatedly, joining them physically, a prelude to the one they’d become in a few months.

He could tell she was more than happy to receive him from her moans.  He slid in and out of her, finding her sweet spot as he always could, feeling her expire time and again in his arms, then thrusting harder for his own release, needing to fill her with himself until he could feel it through his entire body, muscles clenching, cock spurting, Tina and he moaning together, needing, wanting, fulfilling at last.

Dino dropped on top of her as his cock thrummed gently inside her, sheathed even as he was completed, loving the warmth of her silky wet folds.

Moments later his phone chirped.

Tina laughed, stretched under him to his jacket and pulled it towards them.  Dino grabbed the offending piece of technology and flipped it open, answering the call.

“What?” he said, annoyed.

“Mate, don’t let me interrupt, just checking how the evening’s goin’,” a familiar Antipodean, soon-to-be-dead partner asked.

“Everything’s just fine, asshole.  Congratulations, you’re the best man.  Start planning my night of debauchery.”  Dino closed the phone with a firm snap.  “Now, where were we?”

Tina giggled.

Married life was going to be so much fun, Dino thought.

THE END
