Amanda Makes A Move
Winnie Peeg shouldn’t have been surprised no she shouldn’t but she was. Amanda sat down with her over a cup of tea and told her she’d found a cottage with a building next door that would accommodate an infant’s school.
"Auntie you will love it, it’s the perfect place…really it is and there’s plenty room for both of us."
"Both of us…oh no Amanda dear…I shan’t plant myself in your cottage…you’re young dear…this is your life you’re beginning…you have plans and dreams…" Miss Peeg said wistfully.
"But Auntie I never once thought of having it on my own you were always to come."
Miss Peeg smiled and patted Amanda’s hand, "thank you Amanda but…I may have plans of my own."
Amanda set about furnishing her little cottage with great finds and refurbished furniture. She was excited and a little apprehensive at the same time. She’d never lived on her own before and strictly speaking she didn’t intend to live on her own.
That was the little bit of information she decided not to tell her Auntie…at least not yet. In fact she hadn’t told Johnny yet that he would be moving in with her. Amanda, however, once her mind was made up about a thing was a force to be reckoned with. She wasn’t Winnie Peeg’s niece for nothing after all.
