Bill and Sarah at Their
House
“I’m going into Coffs tomorrow, I heard there was a large warehouse with good used furniture inside and I want to have a look.” Sarah walked around her new lounge.
Bill and Sarah were down at their now completed house. “You know what Travis is gonna say about that.”
“He’s not going to live in it. I wish now we’d kept some of the things we had in Sydney after all this is not going to be like Travis’s house on the hill this is just us. I don’t want everything bright shiny and new.”
“That ain’t my department, I helped build the place the rest is up to you. What do you reckon Tee is gonna do, stay with Travis or live with us I haven’t heard anybody say a word about him.”
“He’ll live with Travis, that’s what they both want and when Travis is not here he can stay with us.”
“I wonder how much he’s gonna be here now that he’s got Robert’s wife.”
“Will you get over that, it’s his life Bill. I have no idea what he has planned other than she’s going to stay at his beach house. I imagine he’ll be back and forth. Now we were talking about the lounge and what kind of furniture to put in it.”
“You know all I want is a comfortable chair, a couch I can stretch out on and take a nap and a TV, that’ll do for me so you get what you want for the rest.”
“I haven’t seen you take a nap since we moved to The Glen.”
“I guess I haven’t, I stay pretty busy but with the house built now I might want a nap and in case I do a big couch would be nice to have.”
“You’ll have your big couch Bill and I’ll let Tee pick out his bedroom stuff. I can’t tell you how excited I am to be moving into our own house. I have appreciated everything Travis has done for us but you know as well as I that living in the same house wasn’t going to work forever.”
“You’re right about that, everybody needs their own space and a little privacy. I expect he’ll want it even more now.”
“Bill, you do like Toni Roberts don’t you?”
“I got nothing against her except what Travis has done, you don’t take another man’s wife like he done.”
“I don’t suppose he took her by force, he loves her and she loves him. I’ll be glad when they get home and I can talk to her.”
“Sarah, don’t go meddling in their business.”
“I wouldn’t dream of it, no not for a minute.” Sarah smiled and tucked her arm in his.
