Now What?

Sarah McGee was stowing her grocery shopping in the trunk of her car when Toni Roberts parked next to her. She closed her trunk and waited smiling, she liked Toni and had been meaning to call her.

Toni hadn’t noticed Sarah she was more interested in finding a place to park. She opened her door, “Oh, Mrs. McGee, how good to see you.”

“It’s good to see you too dear, you’ve just come from the clinic I see?”

“Yes, just stopping by to get something for dinner…how is your house coming along?”

“Nearly finished, I have a kitchen now you should come and see it.”

Toni bit her lip, “Maybe I’ll get out there one day.”

“Tee has been asking about you. I think you made quite an impression on that young man.”

“Has he, he’s a nice kid Mrs. McGee I know you must be proud of him.”

“Quite.”

“Well…tell him I said hello.” Toni hitched her bag on her shoulder.

“Um…Toni when you have time one day I’d like to talk with you about Travis.”

“Travis…why?”

“I’ll leave that for now, please give me a call.” She waved and walked around to her door.
