Ready For The Off
“You
ready, Seb?”
“Almost,
mate. You wanna bring the wheels round?”
Jeff went out the back door and across to
Stevo’s car. They were off to Andy’s stag night. There was a limo laid on from
Millie’s, but they thought they’d go it alone, and they would be able to ferry
any walking wounded home before the evening was out.
Stevo met him outside and Jeff gave a low
wolf whistle.
“Man
you brush up well, mate.”
“Rack
off!” Stevo replied as he got in the car.
They headed off for the rendezvous with the
lads, looking forward to the evening.
“So,
do we have a plan?”
“Only
for after they all drink themselves senseless. I’m thinking Lucy will be
expecting Andy to go home to her, but there’s no way I’m letting him see the
bride before their big day.”
“Your
place or mine,” Stevo quipped.
“Mine,
I think. No sure if your mum can deal with three of us on a Sunday morning,
especially if two are sporting sore heads.”
“Yeah,
you could be right…that reminds me, we need to toss a coin to see who’s staying
off the booze tonight.”
“We’ll
do that when we get there.”
“Good-oh…let’s get to where it’s all happening then, Jeffie.”
