Reunion

Bridgid Morgan rarely wore a dress unless she was forced to. Of course there was that off occasion when she thought that slipping into something more feminine would present a more intense impact. Today was one of those days. It was the day he’d be arriving in Coffs. The case of perma-grin she suffered from nearly hurt. It seemed so long since she smiled without forcing it.
Let’s face it, she was used to separation alright but this time was different. She’d asked him if she could go along with him but he gave her a stern no. He didn’t even give her much leeway to argue about it.
“Whatever you say, Siren, I shall not waver in my decision. It is firm and you are well aware of my ability to stand by a choice.”
So that was it. Let’s get back to the dress.
She nearly made herself dizzy as she tuned around several times in front of her full length mirror. Why did her boobs look uneven? Why did her ass look so wide? Did she have a waistline? Her answers to all of the above teetered on the insecure side but truth be told she looked stunning. The dress draped as if it had been made for her and the pale blue color brought out her eyes as if they were electrified. Small yellow sunflowers printed on the material followed a pattern that enhanced her curves and the length of the dress was perfect finishing just below her knees. It wasn’t a glamorous piece. It could be described as pretty in the most flattering sense, the kind of pretty that would be hard to look away from.
“Ready as I’ll ever be.” she muttered to herself. She had no idea what time Jack would dock but she did know for sure it would be sometime today. She had to hurry if she was going to catch John Biebe at the boarding house. He’d be the one she’d beg for a ride to Coffs.
She bolted from the house barefoot, carrying her shoes in her hand. Bursting through the door of Millie’s she made a bee line right for John who sat alone at a table and was midway through his lunch.
“Tell me you’re not doing anything right now, John.” she stated, breathless.
“Why? I someone chasing you B or did you just do something wrong? Nice dress by the way.” he replied with a flat grin.
No, No and thanks. I just need a ride to Coffs. Jack…Jack…Jack will be back today and I want to be there to greet him.
Her excited state made him chuckle.” That explains the dress and the red in your cheeks. Calm down before you start to sweat. Just let me get my keys and I’ll take you over there.”
“You wanna fin..fin..finish your lunch?”
“God sakes, woman. Catch your breath.” He stood and swiped his hair back like it was some kind of habit or something. “Millie, can you wrap this up to go for me? It seems I’ve got a chore to do?”
Mille moved out from behind the bar to pick up his plate. “Sure thing, John.” The moment she moved away, John winked at Bridgid. “Maybe I can get some fast food in Coffs anyway. Mille needs to get some more practice in when it comes to her culinary skills.”
Bridgid just stood their shifting from foot to foot. His teasing didn’t even sink in.
A few minutes later she and John were in his 4x4 enroute to Coffs. They drove on for a good fifteen minutes without saying anything to each other.
He finally broke the ice. "You're lucky, you know?"
Bridgid turned her head his way and replied "What do you mean?"
"It must be great to be so ..." he hesitated as if this were difficult for him to say "..in love with someone. I should say Aubrey is lucky."
She starred at him for a long moment. It was obvious that he was uncomfortable with the subject but he couldn’t hold it in. "John, it will happen for you again. You just have to wait it out. This place, the Glen is just starting to grow but there'll be someone for you. You'll see."
"Yeah, Okay. By and by have you and the girls given any thought to hiring a deputy?"
"Yes, yes we have and she'll be here next week."
"She?" he scoffed
"Yes. You got a problem with that?"
"No, no not at all, B, but if you're trying to play matchmaker then knock it off."
"Siobhan was hired because of her resume' John, not because of any other reason. I'm sure you'll be impressed."
"Yeah well, that's what I'm afraid of. Siobhan huh? Strange name."
The rest of the ride was filled with small talk. Each one of them had different things to think about and they didn’t collide. When they arrived at Coffs, John got out of the car with her and followed her to a bench on the docks near an empty slip.
"I'll wait until he gets here, B. Don't want you hanging out down here by yourself."
"Ah no worries. I've been hanging around docks most of my life. Go get yourself something to eat and go home. Jack and I will be back tonight, or tomorrow morning if things go right."
"Uh huh. I got you. You got your cell?"
"Yep."
"If there are any problems, any at all, you just call me. Got it?"
She stepped up on her tippy toes and kissed his cheek. "You betcha I will."
He knew there was no point in arguing with her. John stood there long enough to watch her slip her shoes on and sit down on the bench. She watched John walk off as he turned to look back several times. He worried far too much but he was a good man.
Time passed. Her position changed several times from a seated one to a slouching one to lying down with her head propped on her handbag. How could she not fall asleep after suffering several nights of insomnia over his homecoming? The smell of the sea air, fatigue and a few other factors left her lying there on that bench in a state of slumber. She had no idea how much time passed before she suddenly felt encompassing warmth.
He'd stood over her smiling for a long moment. Jack Aubrey had dressed in his best uniform to greet her. He knew she'd be there waiting and when he found her she was curled up on that bench like a lost soul. He took his blue navy coat off to cover her shoulders. Bending to kiss her cheek, he spoke softly as not to startle her.
"Bridgid, my love. I'm home."
Her eyes fluttered then opened. Was she dreaming? Please don't be a dream, she thought as she sat up slowly. His hand dropped in front of her and she took it. It was warm and real. She stood without saying a word and they kissed. The tender touch of their lips became a dizzying exploration and it lasted until she had to breathe again.
"Jack. I've missed you....
"Shh, Siren. I have something to show you." he smiled as he pulled his coat around her shoulders and turned her around. "There she is."
Bridgid's jaw dropped. "Jack Aubrey. That ain't no schooner?"
"Ah, Siren, did I say schooner? No, no well it was I who erred. I should have said...what do you call it these days? Yacht I would say. She's a seventy six footer and just right for you and me to sail alone.
"Alone." she replied with a sigh. "I have missed you."
"And I you." he responded. Placing his hand at the small of her back he moved her toward the ship. "There is something else for you to see. It is below deck, Siren."
The pace became more hurried as they breached the gangway. Passing one of the two crewmen who helped sail the new ship back from Perth, Jack thanked him quickly and dismissed him from the deck. The pair descended into the passageway and he moved her forward to the door of the main cabin. He pushed the door open, bringing her inside with him. The door was shut at once but before the latch clicked, they were kissing again.
"The dress, its beautiful." he spoke against her lips as his hands dropped to the hem. He lifted it up and she raised her arms instinctively as he brought it over her head. She was naked underneath with the exception of those blasted undergarments that he loathed. Modern knickers were not his cuppa and he did to them what he thought he should. Reaching into his belt he withdrew a small dagger and he cut her panties right at the T at the back of them. Tossing the knife aside, he drew them off of her with one hand and swept his other between her legs.
"Jack!” she gasped at the feel of his rough palm against her flesh. After a few ungainly turns she'd worked most of his kit off as well, down to his trousers and boots anyway. She hardly noticed the size of the bed that he'd had made for the cabin. Most ships could spare the space but the main cabin on this one was built to different specs.
Once his boots were off, she was on, on top of him that is. She managed to get him onto his back on the rack and she straddled him before he took his next breath.
"Can I speak now?" she asked coyly as she felt the swell of him between her legs. With a wiggle and a shift he was buried to the hilt inside of her. The sound he made gave her power but it wouldn’t last for long. He laid his head back and placed his hands on her hips.
"Carry on, Siren." he growled
"You know I've missed you, Jack." she cooed as she teased him with the squeeze of a private muscle.
"I know." he responded with a flex of one that he could control.
They played this game for as long as they could before he took her power away. Turning her over onto her back, he found another inch of depth.
"Oh my fucking God!" she cried out, raising her knees up to grasp his body. Aubrey dipped his head to savor the scent between her breasts. He brought his hand up to steady the jiggle of her flesh as he laved a tongue over the pink swollen apex of her glorious globe. When he clamped his mouth shut on it to suck her senses away she lost her grasp on everything. Her body tensed, seizing him tight in her slick sheath. Even Lucky Jack had his threshold though.
"Siren..." he hissed as he filled her belly with a warm flood of his very essence. So they swam together now.
*****************
Hours passed before the sound of his stomach rumbling woke her up. She kissed his shoulder before wriggling out from under his arm.
"Where are you going?" he asked sleepily.
"I need to call John, to let him know we'll be spending the night. He brought me to Coffs and I'm sure he'll want to know that I'm safe here with you. Fix you some chow if you like too." she gave him a knowing grin and wink.
Jack propped himself up on an elbow. He reached for her, trailing a finger along her body as she slid away from him. It left him feeling a chill from the loss of her heat.
“Bridgid.”
She turned to him. “Yes, love?”
“Tell him we will be a couple of days. We should break her in for sail.”
“You did just sail her all the way from Perth, Jack. You don’t think she’s broken in?”
“It is not the same, my dear. She will not sail properly until you take the helm. She is your ship.”
“You know…” she moved back to sit down beside him. Stroking his hair she moved her fingers to his cheek and touched there with the pad of her thumb. “I believe at one time you’d cringe at the sight of a woman at the helm of a sailing vessel. Look how much you’ve changed for me.”
He smiled and took her hand to kiss the palm of it. “Not as much as you think, Siren. I still have not scolded you for something. I believe the phrase you used was ‘Oh my fucking god’. Now, would a lady speak like that?”
She grinned and scooted up beside him. “Sailor, sometimes you really take the piss but I love you none the less.”
"Siren!"
