“Letting Loose and Ignoring the Past”
“Well hello there, stranger,” Ami smiled brightly as she greeted Colin from his front porch. “You gonna let me in or am I just going to have to have my way with you out here on the porch?”
Colin chuckled, “Ami, just the person I hoped to see. Well, as tempting as that sounds, luv, you’d best come inside,” he chuckled again and led her into the house. “I’ve missed you. How’ve you been?”
“Bored silly. Thought you’d forgotten me,” Ami pretended to pout, as she made herself comfortable on the couch.
“Oh now I could never forget you, luv,” Colin assured her as he handed her a beer and sat down beside her. “Just been busy is all.”
“Hmm... busy with what?” she asked, as she scooted close to him, pressing her body against his.
About that time, Raine came bouncing down the stairs, startled to see Colin and Ami. “Oh, oh! I’m SO sorry, Colin. I didn’t realize you had... company. I’ll just make myself... um... scarce.”
Ami jumped quickly off the couch, looked at Raine and then back to Colin. “No, no, don’t bother,” Ami told her, as she set her beer down on the side table and picked up her purse. “I was just... leaving.” She gave Colin a stern look and headed for the door in a huff.
“Ami, luv, it’s not what it looks like,” Colin tried to explain, as he managed to get to his feet and hobbled after her using one of his crutches.
“Nooooo, definitely NOT what this must look like,” Raine chuckled, “Ewww! He’s my brother!”
Ami stopped at the door, turned around, “You’re... brother?”
“Uh... yeah!” Raine told her, still quite disgusted at the thought of her and Colin ‘getting it on’.
“Phew! That’s a relief,” Ami said, smiling. “By the way, I’m Ami, nice to meet you...?”
“Raine,” she replied.
“Raine,” Ami repeated, “Pretty name.”
“Thanks. Now, if you will excuse me, I think I’m going to go into town and see if Adam wants to have lunch with me. Nice to meet you, Ami. See ya later, Colin. Be... good,” she giggled and walked out the back door.
“Colin,” Ami started, an embarrassed smile on her face. “I’m so... sorry, I thought... when I saw her... and I hadn’t heard from you all week... I just...”
“No worries,” Colin assured her. “She and her husband decided to move here, needed a place to stay for a bit is all. He’s down at the garage filling in for me. Now... we’ve got the whole house to ourselves for a bit, what say we take advantage of it while we can?” He grinned and raised an eyebrow at her.
“You must have been reading my mind,” Ami grinned, leaning in close, pressing her lips to his.
“I’d like to do more than that, luv,” he teased, showering her with kisses, his hands roaming her body.
Within seconds their clothes were in a pile on the floor, and their bodies were melded together on the couch.
“Careful... careful of the leg, luv,” Colin told her, as they rolled around – Ami finally opting to get on top of him because of his cast.
Suddenly, Colin’s cell phone started ringing. “You need to get that?” Ami asked, breathlessly, hoping that he didn’t.
“Umm... shit,” Colin said, not wanting to stop what they were doing to answer the damn phone. “No, no... don’t stop... if it’s important they’ll call back or leave a message.”
Ami smiled and her mouth found his again, their bodies moving together in unison.
After 5 rings, the phone stopped, but a few seconds later it started ringing again. “Dammit!” Colin groaned, reaching for his pants on the floor beside him and pulling out his cell phone. “This had better be important.”
He looked at the caller i.d. – Abby. Shit. What the fuck is she calling me for? Colin wondered to himself, then shut off the ringer and set the phone down on the side table and went back to what he was doing with Ami.
