Andy Takes a Step

Andy had set aside a time to present his plan to Millie and Steve. He knew it was sound, knew it would work and had it all lined up. He was a little unsure how they would react if they didn’t go for it then he was sunk.

He placed his folder on the table and waited for them in the dining room. The first to appear was Brook and he had her on his lap when Steve and Millie came in.

Only half way through his presentation Steve and Millie looked at each other smiling. He didn’t have to say another word. He had his restaurant.

When they left he let out a huge sigh. Now the real work would begin.

The timing was perfect with the Wade wedding closing the kitchen for a day he had the decorators in to paint the dining room and replace the door to the side patio with French doors. He intended to create an outside dining area on the patio. He also had the kitchen torn apart resulting in an updated line of equipment and cooking surfaces.

His immediate need was help and he’d already put out feelers in the industry resulting in a list of people to interview. A call to Lucy reduced the list considerably some she had worked with and some by reputation…Andy wanted a smoothly run kitchen.
