Sweet Dreams

Johnny sat up at the soft knock on his door.

"I just wanted to see if there was anything you wanted before I went to bed," Amanda said moving into his room.

She was fresh from the bath he could smell her clean scent it seemed to float around her and her damp hair. "I’d like this cast off Amanda," he said softly.

"I wish I could take it off Johnny," she came over and sat on the side of his bed and he moved away so that his hip would not be resting against hers.

She had no idea what she did to him. He couldn’t look her in the face and so he settled his gaze on the door. "Only another week…it seems like ages since I could stand on me own."

"I know but it was a bad break…it takes time to heal properly," her words came automatically her eyes were fastened to his bare chest his smooth shoulders that she longed to touch. "I’m uh going into Coffs tomorrow about the certification for the school…I wanted to know if you wanted to come too." She watched as his eyes turned to meet hers.

"Ah yeah…nice to get out," his eyes traveled to her mouth that was slightly parted.

"Well then…around nine…you should be ready," she swallowed.

"I’m ready…uh I’ll be ready," he answered

"I guess it’s good night then…um," when had she moved closer to him?

"Yeah…," his eyes moved from her lips to her dark bright eyes...he was going to kiss her…his breath coming in short gasps.

She leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on his lips and got up immediately and left the room.
