Pillow Talk

She'd always admired him both physically and otherwise. He never deprived her of the same kind of attention except for today. His usual carnality always enthralled her but Jack seemed detached, chilly, as if he were on another planet. He questioned her when she spoke, asking her to repeat herself. Sometimes more than once. When she made a move to tempt him with her charms he didn't resist but his usual voracity was not present.

He was leaning on his elbow and caressing her breasts as if they were his security blanket. He seemed to be seeking some kind of comfort she'd never seen from him before.

"Jack, would you prefer I leave you alone right now?"

"What?" he replied "No, no of course not."

Taking his hands off of her body she held them to raise herself up to look into his eyes.

"I was afraid this would happen. I was afraid once we were married, you'd loose interest in me." Her voice was full of worry.

"Do not fret, Siren," he said as he pulled a hand away to stroke her cheek. "My love and desire for you has not waned in the least. I am just full of thought about...about a matter I will discuss with you soon."

"I knew something was troubling you. I could feel it. Please talk to me, Jack. Maybe I can help."

He turned away and swung around so his legs draped over the side of the bed, toes barely touching the floor. Burying his face in his hands, he sighed. He'd have to tell her about John Phillip sooner or later but he didn't know how. She was a reasonable woman but would she understand this? The feel of her hand on his back made him turn toward her.

She blinked, keeping her eyes closed for a few seconds before opening them. "I love you. No matter what."

Pausing, she sat up. "Is it a problem with money? You know my father would.."

"No!" he interrupted her and the sharpness of it all made her recoil and his expression was quickly full of winsome apology. "Forgive me, Bridgid. I am sorry. Believe me this has nothing to do with money or anything else you may imagine. It is something I must rectify in my mind before I can employ your help."

He sounded so clinical to her and her mind groped for a reply but she had no idea how to deal with this. Perhaps she should let it be for now. She trusted him and that's all that mattered.

"Alright.Talk to me when you are ready. I'll be here for you when you need me, Jack."

"Tis one of the many reasons you have my love, Bridgid."

"Oh, do I? Maybe we could distract you from this so called problem for just a bit."

Sitting up on her knees, she pressed herself against his back, draping her arms around his neck. With a tilt of her head she kissed his cheek, urging him to turn. When he did she kissed his mouth, his neck, anywhere she could reach until he fell back to let her have her way with him. He was already rock hard when her hand found his thick shaft and a single stroke brought him to be the lustful sailor he'd been in the past.

In a show of strength he stood and lifted her enough to have her on her back and before she could take another breath he was on top of her. Long plump finger slid up her thigh until they found their mark to plunge inside of her. She yelped just before he kissed her hard and long. The weight of his body lit one hell of a fire in her belly and her legs yielded to him. She twisted under him, caught in the thrill, the heat and the long slide of him entering her with a hard thrust. They loved each other for some time before the inward rapture of quivering thighs and liquid fire peaked, leaving them both calm and serene in the wake of it all.

They lay together for an hour, cooling in the breeze that blew though the open window of their bedroom. Listening to his serene breaths made her feel as if she did help him with whatever vexed him. At least for now.
