Dreams and Wishes

"Penny for them, Luv."

"Umm?"

"I said, penny for ‘em…your thoughts," Max whispered into Ceri’s ear as he wrapped his arms around her from behind and hugged her close.

"It should be cents down here," Ceri replied, twisting round to smile up at Max. "I was thinking about the outhouses at Bron and Ed’s place. I’m certain once she feels she can leave Ed on his own for a while, she’ll start converting part of them into a studio. You know there’s no way she going to stop painting…"

"And?"

"And…there will still be plenty of space left."

"Left for what?" Max grinned, knowing how Ceri’s brain was going into overdrive.

"Oh, nothing. It was just a thought."

Max turned Ceri round in his arms and took one step back to look directly into her eyes. "Would you be thinking that perhaps there would be enough space left over for another studio? Even for a dark room, should a certain beautiful photographer want to use her traditional equipment as well as her state of the art digital gear?"

"Oh, Max…do you think I’m being stupid?"

"Not at all, gorgeous. I think it’s a great idea. You could take mug shots of all the residents," he giggled, ducking as she playfully swiped at him.

"No, the calendar comes first. Look at the beauty all around us. I’m sure we can get some proofs printed up and I can send a sample to my agent in DC. People need to see how beautiful this part of Oz is."

"Sounds like a plan. All we need to do now is talk to Bron and see what she thinks."

"Thanks, lover. Did I tell you this morning how much I love you?"

"Max grinned, "Oh I can’t remember…how about showing me instead."
