The Lion and the Lioness

He couldn't take his eyes off of her as they walked together. Why hadn't he noticed that quirky little smile of hers before? Why hadn't he noticed those wonderful blue eyes or the way she looked at him when he did something off kilter? Maybe he was so involved in the business that he just didn't want to notice.
Whatever the case may be he was glad he did now. He took her hand as they walked down the street by the docks in Coffs.
"Are you happy?" He asked.
"Sure, it's a beautiful night; we should take some pictures for the paper."
She didn't dare believe there could be more to this.
"We could but we are on holiday, as the Aussie's put it, vacation. Let's just have a nice dinner then go back to our room." Cal waggled his brows as he thought about the night before. Colleen was certainly the best lover he'd ever had by far.
"We could just go back to our room and get room service to deliver something for us. We both need to keep up our strength, right?"
She pulled him towards her and kissed his forehead. "How about we just go to bed."
He took a moment to process what she just said. "You are insatiable, woman. A man needs to keep his strength up mind you. I'm really hungry but if you move that kiss a little lower, say here," he moved his fingers to his lips, "Then maybe I'll forget about food completely."
She loved the feel of him, his mouth on hers . "Cal, are we really doing this"
"Yeah, baby we are and I don't know what took us so long. I think I'm in love with you, Colleen."
