Making the Decision

Whenever he needed to stretch his legs or think he always seemed to find his way to the Glen Community Park and here he was again. Thinking about moving to Australia seemed like a logistical nightmare. Yet he knew several couples who had done just that. He knew Al was right and it was a sense of guilt and fear of forgetting that caused him to balk. He had thought on these very issues before and the effect it had on Ivy. How unfair it was for Ivy to have to compete with his past. He had already made a commitment to Ivy by marrying her. So why had he taken half steps with the rest?

Turning back towards Millie’s he saw someone walking towards him. He watched for a moment before recognizing Ivy. Meeting her halfway he swept her up in a hug.

"What was that for? Not that I’m complaining." Ivy asked after he put her back down. Jim noticed how her skin seemed a little pale in the sunlight. "Just happy to see you baby. Are you feeling alright?" Ivy nodded. "Jeffrey said you had been on the lobby phone then left. I thought you might be up here. Have you made the reservations for the flight back? I still need to find out about getting something for motion sickness."

"What would you say if I told you I’d like to hear about your plans for a grocery?" Ivy looked at Jim with a startled look on her face. "Could you repeat that?"

"I said what are your plans for opening a grocery. What would you do?" Ivy cocked her head sideways a confused look on her face. "Jimmy do you mean it?"

Smiling he nodded. "Yes Baby. I do."
